IPV Training

At the introduction of the Inactivated Polio Vaccine (IPV) in Nigeria, CFHI supported the rollout by training private healthcare workers across three states. The training strengthened healthcare workers’ capacity to administer IPV and contributed to the successful introduction and scale-up of the vaccine in the participating states.ervices in Bwari Area Council, FCT.

Under the ACTION Plus-Up project, CFHI provided community-based HIV Testing Services and peer education targeting MARPs and vulnerable communities in Lafia LGA. 6,476 clients were reached through community outreach, partner testing, referrals, peer sessions and follow-up services. Of 24 newly identified HIV-positive clients, 23 (96%) were successfully linked to care and treatment. The target was not fully reached due to the limited availability of HIV Rapid Test Kits (RTKs) during implementation.
ETS Training

CFHI facilitated the training of 400 drivers and riders across 10 LGAs to support the Emergency Transport Scheme for pregnant women and children. Participants were equipped to provide timely community-to-facility transportation, helping reduce delays in accessing essential maternal, neonatal and child health services and prevent avoidable complications.
Community Engagement for Increasing Acceptance and Uptake of PPFP

The objective of the project is to increase awareness for Family Planning (FP) and Post-Partum Family Planning (PPFP) services and create linkages between the community and health facilities were these services are available in Kaduna State. The approach was to provide capacity building for Traditional/Religious Leaders, Traditional Birth Attendants (TBAs), Christian Women Organizations, Islamiyah School Teachers through a community forum anchored by an experienced FP Provider.
ACTION Plus-UP

The objectives of the 12-month partnership under the AIDS Care and Treatment in Nigeria Plus-Up (ACTION Plus-Up) project, was to conduct HTS activities in MARPS and to conduct community outreaches to ensure that 23,000 are counselled, tested and HIV positive persons referred to care and treatment. CFHI was also to conduct peer education activities in communities and schools within Lafia LGA, Nasarawa State. .
NSIP

CFHI coordinated third-party monitoring of beneficiaries under the National Social Investment Programme (NSIP) in Nasarawa State, supporting the verification of programme implementation, beneficiary participation and service delivery. In Enugu State, CFHI works closely with the State Lead to coordinate and facilitate monitoring activities across two Local Government Areas (LGAs), contributing to effective oversight, accountability and documentation of programme outcomes. Whil in Imo State, CFHI was the lead implementer.
Community HIV Testing and Counselling

CFHI provided community-based HIV testing and counselling, pioneering the House-to-House (H2H) and Shop-to-Shop (S2S) approaches to bring HIV services directly to people within their communities. Through these approaches, 207,000 people were reached with HIV testing, counselling and HIV prevention information.
