CFHI PRESENTS REUSABLE SANITARY PADS TO THE FEDERAL MINISTRY OF WOMEN AFFAIRS.

CFHI representing Nigeria,  joins 27 other countries today in the Kick off the Dialogue on Menstrual Health Campaign. This transnational dialogue about menstrual health and hygiene will run throughout May to celebrate International Menstrual Health Day on 28 May 2021. On the 9th day of May 2021,  Centre for Family Health Initiative concerned about the well-being of people, actively joined the dialogue to highlight the challenges and solutions in Nigeria on menstrual health management. As part of the activities in line with the campaign, the Federal Ministry of Women Affairs represented by the Permanent Secretary, Anthonia Akpabio Ekpa (PhD), granted audience to an interview with CFHI to add her voice on the ongoing campaign.

The Commemoration of World Malaria Day at Gishiri, Abuja

Centre for Family Health Initiative (CFHI) commemorated the World Malaria day at Gishiri community, Abuja. In a bid to achieving a Zero Malaria community, CFHI sensitized the community members on ways to achieve this.

National Consultation on Violence Against Women and Girls (VAWG)

Centre for Family Health Initiative (CFHI) and Girls’ Power Initiative (GPI) hosted a national consultation on violence against women and girls (VAWG) to share information about VAWG, propose solutions and develop action plans with other distinguished women leaders working to eliminate all forms of violence against women and girls in the public and private spheres.

International Women’s Day (IWD) 2021

On Monday 8, March 2021, Centre for Family Health Initiative hosted three distinguished panelists; Prof. Ladi Hamalai (MFR), Jakadiya Mubi Emirate and Former Director General National Institute for Legislative and Democratic Studies National Assembly, Ms. Babafunke Fagbemi, The Executive Director, Centre for Communication and Social Impact (CCSI) and Imabong Sanusi-Ladipo, The Executive Director, Women Trafficking & Child Labour Eradication Foundation (WOTCLEF) on a tweetchat on the topic: Women’s full participation in Leadership – A way to achieving sustainable development and gender equality in commemoration of International Women’s Day (IWD).

Also, CFHI visited Wumba community-Abuja to sensitize over 50 women on the effects of COVID19 and empower them with requisite skill for the production of hand sanitizer.

Federal Ministry of Health Supervisory Visit to CFHI Office Owerri

The Fededral Ministry of Health (FMoH) and Health Strategy and Delivery Foundation (HSDF) paid a supervisory visit to Centre for Family Health Initiative (CFHI)  state office Owerri. The visit was aimed at monitoring the progress of the Diabetes Awareness and Care (DAC) project and also appreciate the successes and recommend ways of scaling up DAC services in the state.
