This day has been set aside by the African Committee of Experts on the Rights and Welfare of the Child (ACERWC) in remembrance of the hundreds of school children that were killed during the Soweto Uprising on the 16th of June 1976.
Since 1988, every December 1, the world unites in the fight against HIV, by showing their support for people living with HIV (PLHIV) and remember those who have died.
CFHI joins the nation to celebrate the about 45% of Nigerians-children under 15 years of age, especially orphans and vulnerable children in the Abuja Municipal Area Council.
For all orphans and vulnerable children enrolled in our Care and Support program, a Christmas party is organized every year; to mark the end of the year.
